I'm so pleased to hear that a master plan is in the makingThumpUp

Now girls, I need to put you "straight". All of these hunky doctors you keep going on about, ARE WOMEN, yes you did hear/read me correctly, and as I do not intend "to swing the other way" will hold out for the rather nice male nurses who keep popping in, yes, my named nurse is a man!

Thank you for helping me keep my spirits up, I've given up on the crying business and have exchanged it for a good dose of humour. I seem to be quite famous, as lots of student docs keep popping in to look at my lovely spots and to ask questions.

As yet, the medics have not come up with a treatment plan apart from managing my pain and have been referred to the pain clinic. Hopefully, I'll see the dermatologist tomorrow with my rheumy to discuss the way forward, apparently I am a complicated case and drug options are limited - we'll see what they come up with.

Re my car and for those who are interested, it's a 25 yr old Citroen CX turbo one limited addition and there are only 50 in the UK that are still on the road.

love to you all,

Barbara

Amanda, shame on you, don't tell me you've guzzled away our secrete stash?

Jean, you'll have to absail me out of here, I'm really high up and a rope wont do, think feet darling and hands, or are you going to carry me on your back?

Now as for the comode, I have a lovely one right here: its got bells and all, and it's in Bernie's favourite colour - PINK!

Crikey Barbara, we'd better get you out of there quick if all these women are flocking round you!Scared

Nice to hear you are bearing up and I hope the docs can come up with an effective treatment plan for you.

Hmmm, I am wondering.....if you are very high up we may need the fire brigade's help with the rescue?Cool

Although I have spotted Julie in her flimsy green dress scaling the side of the building as we speak!LOL

Keep smiling, the escape plan is in progress.
Love, Doreen xx

Mornin' Barbara,

Glad to hear escape plans are continuing and just in case we will be appearing later with a trampoline strategically positioned outside your window. I thought might come in useful if Amanda drops any of those wine bottles!

Now, here's our first medically minded joke for you:-

Young man speaking frantically into the phone, 'My wife is pregnant, and her contractions are only two minutes apart.'

'Is this her first child?' the doctor queries.

'No, you idiot.' Man shouts. 'This is her husband!!!!!!'

Hi Barbara

How are things with you today? Do hope you are now feeling more comfortable and have received the awaited visited from rheumatology and dermatology. I'm pleased to hear that you have been designated "a complicated case"; perhaps now you will get the attention and treatment much needed. Just hope they are more skilled than Dr Carver!!

Old Dr. Carver still made house calls. One afternoon he was called to the Tuttle house. Mrs. Tuttle was in terrible pain. The doctor came out of the bedroom a minute after he'd gone in and asked Mr. Tuttle, "Do you have a hammer?" A puzzled Mr. Tuttle went to the garage, and returned with a hammer. The doctor thanked him and went back into the bedroom. A moment later, he came out and asked, "Do you have a chisel?" Mr. Tuttle complied with the request. In the next ten minutes, Dr. Carver asked for and received a pair of pliers a screwdriver and a hacksaw. The last request got Mr. Tuttle rather anxious. He asked, "What are you doing to my wife?" "Not a thing," replied old doc Carver. "I can't get my instrument bag open."

It's worrying that you are attracting the attention of all these female staff and I feel we should have the escape plan ready for immediate implementation should it become necessary. Doreen can you alert Lyn2 to get her fire brigade ready on standby? Were you able to complete those interviews, Barbara? We don't want any unsuitable riff raff turning up, although in the circumstances perhaps we shouldn't be too choosy! Liz, you were just in time with that trampoline ... looks like Julie has taken a tumble and is now all wrapped up in her lovely green dress bouncing up and down like a demented frog. Phew, close call Blink

Hi Barbara

Sorry to hear you're in hospital, the feet sound very painful. I hope they come up with a dx soon, and start some treatment.

Hi Barbara,

Just wondering how you are today? Has anything been done to help those poorly feet? How on earth have you been managing like that for such a long time? My heart goes out to you.

Thinking of you my friend.

Hi Barbara

Mary and I are now positioned on the roof above you. Jenni and Lizzie are at the bottom with the trampoline and Eleanor and Doreen are sawing through the emergency fire exit. Sadly Amanda, Kathleen and the snake are now so inebriated they will be no help whatsoever. Julie is climbing the front of the building as I type (the fire brigade are on the way to rescue her) and Lyn has dragged a poor medical student out of the front entrance by his hair and has her scissors at the ready. WE'RE ON THE WAY!!! I'm surprised you haven't heard us - we're making on heck of a noise!
See you soon

Much love
Jeamxxxx

I am not in any way drunk, Barbara, I promise. I have also bought some Pimms (but forgot the lemonade but didn't think you'd mind?) at Jenni's suggestion...(People suggest drinks and I buy them)

I am coming up now so get ready to party, oh, and I found this male nurse who claims he belongs to you? Thought you better serach him first and then we can offer him a drinkie? What do you think??

Love,
A

Oh Barbara! You do have some adventures Sad but hopefully this will fast track treatment. Are you in UCH? Do you think you will be there after the weekend and are you up for visitors?

Can't believe you are still having such a lousy time - sounds like Leicester was just what you needed, despite being such a challenge (health wise) I'm sure those wonderful people will have helped you through this.

Hope to have a trip to the big city soon, and come and see you - let me know.

love and hugs

Hope you are feeling a bit better today Barbara and still the 'star of the ward' with your Red Spots, perhaps Jenni will let you have her Red Boots to match the spots for the big rescue plan. Well one has to keep their appearance and be colour co-ordinated............

When is the party going to be that Amanda mentioned? Amanda may I suggest Red Wine and Baileys (no ice, I like it neat and not watered down).

I'll bring the nibbles and music.

Joking aside, I hope they find some treatment for you soon and you can go home.

Love Paula x x x

Hi Barbara,

Taking time out from your rescue effort just to see how you are - hope you`re being well looked after, and someone is coming up with some answers.

Don`t worry if you hear a lot of noise - Doreen & Eleanor sawed through a cable by mistake, and they`ve set off all the sprinklers.

Take care, & get well soon,

Kathleen x

LOL Yes, well you know why that is Kathleen? Eleanor can't see what she's doing ... haircut long overdue but for some reason she seems to be avoiding me! Barbara, if you see Eleanor before I do please hang onto her I'm on my way with scissors!! As she's already soaking wet a shampoo won't be necessary on this occasionThumpUp

How are you today? Hope you are starting to feel a bit better,

Lyn x
